The 'hime cut' (Japanese: 姫カットhime katto) (Korean: 히메컷) is a famous Japanese hairstyle that usually combines blunt, cheek-length sidelocks and frontal fringe with long, straight hair. The style is thought to have originated, or at least become common, in the Imperial court during the Heian period of Japanese history.
